Homebase Vienna | The Jetty | Diagram | Spaces/Views | Walkways The mooring in Hermannpark on the Donaukanal close to the Urania is to be the main location for the MS SUPAMIRA, a floating culture platform. There are also plans to extend the concept to include not just the jetty but also the whole park with it. As a venue for theatre, concerts, film and art projects, it will effectively upgrade the immediate vicinity of the ship – i.e. the Donaukanal and Hermannpark. The park is also to be redesigned by landscape architects and architects of the MS SUPAMIRA team. The result will be a high quality culture venue in an international format that will trigger off positive urban planning developments in the neighbourhood. Furthermore, the MS SUPAMIRA is not only docking in Hermannpark, it's also going to be underway on the Danube for several months of the year. This will not only bring a valuable impulse back to Vienna, the ship will serve as a cultural embassy for Vienna as a location.
